Georgia Tech offensive lineman leaves team to pursue art career

Georgia Tech offensive lineman Gary Brown is abandoning the gridiron to pursue a career in arts, the redshirt freshman tweeted over the weekend.

The 6-3, 287-pounder saw action in five games last season and was the 2014 offensive scout team player of the year for the Yellow Jackets.

Brown, a former-star prospect coming out Alonso High School in Tampa, Fla., was expected to compete for a starting job next season.
