Furman 56, Howard 14
Cody Worley passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as Furman piled up 42 first-half points and rolled to a 56-14 victory over Howard on Saturday in the first meeting between the schools.
Worley, who was 10-for-12 for 139 yards, threw scoring passes of 12 yards to Colin Anderson and 11 yards to Tyler Maples.
The Paladins (3-2) scored touchdowns on their first four possessions and also got a first-quarter touchdown on Sterling Johnson's 29-yard interception return.
Furman averaged 7 yards per carry while rushing for 289 yards. Backup quarterback Dakota Derrick rushed for 92 yards on nine carries, including second-half touchdowns of 28 and 5 yards.
The Bison (1-5), who snapped an 11-game losing streak last week, were led by Charles Brice's 59 yards on 17 carries, while Randy Liggins was 8-for-14 passing for 147 yards.
