Former Deacons safety gets tryout with Packers

Former Wake Forest safety Anthony Wooding Jr. will get a chance to extend his football career, as he received an invitation to try out for the Green Bay Packers, which was confirmed by a tweet from his agent, Tom Silverstein.

The 6-0, 198-pound Wooding played two years for the Demon Deacons after transferring from the Air Force Academy. While at Wake Forest, Wooding started 16 games and tallied 94 tackles.
