Phil Sylvester scored on a 14-yard run in overtime to give Florida A&M a 22-19 victory over North Carolina A&T in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play on Saturday.

The touchdown run by Sylvester came after the Rattlers (6-3, 5-1) held North Carolina A&T to a 21-yard field goal on the opening possession of the overtime period.

The Aggies (1-9, 1-6) held a 16-13 lead in the third, but a 46-yard field goal from Florida A&M kicker Trevor Scott tied the score at 16.

North Carolina A&T jumped out to a 13-7 lead in the first quarter after a 5-yard touchdown run by George Hines and a 12-yard fumble recovery for a score by Vernon White.

Florida A&M dominated the time of possession as the Rattlers held the ball for 38:32 and allowed only 60 yards rushing by the Aggies.

Sylvester had a game-high 110 yards rushing on 32 carries to go along with the game-winning score.
