Defensive tackle Corey King has decided to leave the Miami Hurricanes football program with hopes of rejuvenating his football career somewhere else.

King, a 6-1, 295-pound senior, has graduated from Miami and will be eligible to play at a Div. I program this fall.

King, who was hampered by injuries in 2014, did not play last season and has appeared in 12 games, starting one. King totaled 12 career tackles with the Hurricanes.

The defensive tackle said he is leaving Miami with no ill will.

“It showed me how to be a man,” King said of his time at Miami to the Palm Beach Post.  “You grow up fast, you meet a lot of people. It was a great experience.”
