Darrell Hazell still believes the team can turn things around

The Purdue Boilermakers have struggle again out of the gates in 2015, starting the season 1-5.

Coach Darrell Hazell is squarely on the hot seat, having made yet another quarterback change during the season. The team has a rough road ahead of them to get bowl eligible this season but there is still hope for them.

On Tuesday, Hazell was asked about his team's confidence at this point and had this to say:

"We talked about that at not length. We kinda slowed the team meeting down on Sunday and talked about a lot of different things and that was one of the things we talked about. I said, again, you're going to be in a lot of close football games, the back six games of the season, and you have to be able to come out of those things on the right end, and this is how you're going to do it. They still have the confidence, obviously they were down after Saturday's loss, based on the way we played in that third quarter, but they're very resilient."

Hazell is clearly in a tough situation but hopefully the confidence he is exuding will translate to more wins and another step forward for his program.
