Illinois will travel to Big Ten foe, Indiana, to kick off the first full week of the college football season. 

The Fighting Illini are coming off a 5-7 record in 2021, where they failed to make it to a bowl game, yet defeated No. 7 Penn State in a thrilling nine-overtime slugfest in the middle of the season. 

Indiana is coming off a subpar season, where they finished 2-10, losing eight-straight games to end their regular season.

Indiana returns seven players on the defensive side of the ball and head coach Tom Allen will undoubtedly have his squad prepared for Illinois quarterback Tommy DeVito," he continued.  "The Illini will be a mostly run-first team in Big Ten play, which is exactly the type of team that Indiana thrives against.
