Gavin McCarney passed for 248 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 109 yards, to lead Colgate over Georgetown 34-14 in a Patriot League contest.

Colgate (3-5, 2-0) amassed 309 yards on the ground and limited Georgetown (1-7, 0-2) to a paltry 54 yards rushing.

Demetrius Russell carried from 1 yard out to give Colgate the early advantage, but the extra-point attempt failed. The Hoyas took a short-lived lead later in the first quarter on Kyle Nolan's 55-yard TD pass to Zack Wilke.

The Raiders answered with three consecutive touchdowns - a 3-yard scoring strike from McCarney to C.J. Stempeck, McCarney's 12-yard run and a 5-yard TD toss to John Maddaluna.
