Christian Kirk named 2015 SEC Freshman of the Year
It's not often a young player with immense talent dedicates himself to the game both on the field and in the film room. However, that's what Texas A&M has in true freshman receiver Christian Kirk. And that dedication has paid off.
Kirk came to College Station as a five-star prospect, and despite competition from one of the best receiving corps in the conferee, quickly earned a starting spot in fall camp.
For his efforts on the field, Kirk has been named the 2015 SEC Freshman of the Year.
In his first season with A&M, Kirk gained 1,659 yards of total offense - fifth best in school-history. He led the team in all-purpose touchdowns with eight and had 944 receiving yards. As long as Kirk is around, the Aggies will be a dangerous team on offense.
