Brother reportedly trying to flip PSU commit to Michigan

One of the top players to join Penn State's 2016 recruiting class early was Lavert Hill, a four-star cornerback from Detroit King High School.

He committed in January, more than a year before he can even sign a letter of intent binding him to the Nittany Lions, but will the pledge stick?

He told The Michigan Insider his brother, Delano, is trying to get him to join him in Ann Arbor, where the elder Hill is a starting safety.

Though Lavert Hill declared his commitment "100-percent solid," he is not ruling out a visit to Michigan. He also acknowledged having a relationship with some of the local talent that will end up playing for the Wolverines and new head coach Jim Harbaugh.

“My brother talks to me about going to Michigan and he wants me to go there, but basically he tells me to choose whatever I like though," Lavert Hill told TMI. "He has also told me that Michigan is going to be pretty good this year.

“He really likes the coaching staff a lot and Coach Harbaugh is a cool dude. I have talked to the staff before and I know they all have NFL coaching experience and they develop their players.”

Will the younger Hill's commitment to Penn State stick? Only time will tell -- and National Signing Day is a long ways off.
