Booker, Adam lead Indiana State over Butler 52-17

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) LeMonte Booker ran for three touchdowns and caught another to lead Indiana State to a 52-17 victory over Butler on Saturday in a game delayed for more than an hour due to lightning.

Booker had first-half scoring runs of 2 and 76 yards, and added a 25-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Booker had 137 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Matt Adam threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Booker, and ran for a 37-yard score to help the Sycamores build a 31-7 lead before play was stopped with 3:43 remaining in the second quarter. Adam added a 53-yard touchdown pass to Gary Owens in the third quarter.

Butler's Matt Shiltz threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Marquese Martin-Hayes in the second quarter. Shiltz also had a 75-yard touchdown run with 2:33 to play.
