Arkansas offensive lineman Jason Peacock was arrested Friday night for using a stolen debit card to buy approximately $35 worth of gas.
Peacock was arrested by university police and booked into the Washington County Detention Center with a bond of $2,500. The 23-year-old offensive tackle was charged with theft of property, a Class D Felony, and has a court date set for Monday.
In Peacock's arrest report, it says university police became aware an Arkansas student's debit card was taken from her purse while left unattended in a class in the Fine Arts Building on March 5. After checking the student's bank records, police discovered that her debit card had been used for a $1 preauthorization charge and then $35.01 in gas at a local convenience store.
The station's video camera showed Peacock's silver Lincoln Town Car was at the pump when the card was used. Police also later discovered that Peacock has a class at the same time as the victim in the Fine Arts Building, and that he lives near the convenience store where the gas was purchased.
Peacock admitted to police that he took the card and used it. He still had it and gave it to university police when questioned.
Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino said through a spokesman that he was aware of the situation and that Peacock, who started nine games last season for the Razorbacks, had been suspended indefinitely.
The Razorbacks opened spring practice Wednesday, and the 6-foot-4, 305-pound Peacock was listed as the first-team left tackle.
