Wojciechowski urges fans to voice arena support

Marquette basketball coach Steve Wojciechowski has joined an appeal to Golden Eagles fans to tell their state legislators to support a $250 million public-funding plan for a proposed downtown Milwaukee arena. 

Marquette's desire for the proposed $500 million arena adds to arena proponents' arguments that the project would not just be a "Milwaukee Bucks arena" but for other sports as well.

“We need your help to turn a plan into a historic milestone,” Wojciechowski and athletic director Bill Scholl said in their letter.

Also in the letter, Wojciechowski and Scholl say that the arena is crucial to the future of Marquette basketball.
