Wake Forest's Doral Moore to skip senior season, turn pro
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) Wake Forest center Doral Moore says he will skip his senior season and turn pro.
Moore announced his decision Tuesday through the school, thanking coach Danny Manning and the staff for ''preparing me to take this step.''
The 7-foot-1 Moore averaged 11.1 points and 9.4 rebounds last season and had a team-best 61 blocks while setting a school single-season record by making 68.9 percent of his shots.
Manning says Moore developed during three seasons in the program and while he is ''disappointed to see him leave, we are proud that our program has been able to help another player achieve his dream of playing professional basketball.''
