Villanova's Daniel Ochefu suffers deep bruise, being evaluated

Daniel Ochefu is being evaluated on Thursday after suffering a "deep bruise" in second half of No. 6 Villanova's 83-68 win over Marquette.

The senior center capped a 20-2 run with a dunk with 4:48 remaining in regulation, but came down hard after the slam.

"He has a deep bruise in his buttocks," Villanova head coach Jay Wright said on Thursday in the Big East coaches' conference call. "It's one of those things our trainer says is very painful, and [he] probably won't practice today. We'll see how he feels on Friday."

The 6-foot-11 Ochefu finished the game with four points and 13 rebounds. He's averaging 10.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game for the Wildcats.

Villanova travels to Washington, D.C. on Saturday to face Georgetown.
