UNC Basketball: Tar Heels featured in must-see games by ESPN

What are the must-see UNC basketball games of the season? Find out which ones made ESPN’s list
The UNC men’s basketball team is preparing for the upcoming 2016-17 season and will have a few big games featured on prominent networks.
UNC is coming off a season in which they finished as the runners up to Villanova, losing on a heartbreaking buzzer-beater. But they are back return three starters from that team plus several key role players.
ESPN released its list of 15 top Must-See games this season and UNC has cracked that list twice.
The first game is an obvious one on the road. Ranked number four on the list in the first meeting between UNC and Duke with the game being in Durham.
Here’s what ESPN wrote on that game:
Cameron Indoor Stadium and Allen Fieldhouse are the two best places to watch a college hoops game, but there’s nothing that compares to UNC-Duke in Cameron. The Tar Heels may not be as loaded as a season ago, but they still have a chance.
The Tar Heels went into Durham last season and beat Duke to clinch the ACC title outright. But you better believe the Blue Devils will have some revenge on their mind.
Duke’s freshman class is loaded with talent, while UNC’s isn’t so bad either. It will be a big ACC test for the Tar Heels and if they can still a game in Durham, they will get a big win in conference play.
The next game on the list is against another top program. UNC’s game against Kentucky in Las Vegas and it comes in at number seven on the list.
ESPN writes on another tough matchup for the Tar Heels, but predicts them to win due to the experience:
The Tar Heels and Cats. Big-time college hoops in Sin City. I wonder where Roy Williams will be gambling. Williams and UNC have more experience, but this one could easily go either way.
What do you think of ESPN’s list and the predictions? Let us know as we continue to count down the days until tipoff of the college basketball season.
