BJ Shearry scored 14 points to lead UC Riverside past Pomona-Pitzer 81-48 on Monday night.
Elliott Berry had 12 points, and Harrison Gaines and Kevin Bradshaw 11 each for the Highlanders (1-1), who won their home opener and bounced back from an 85-41 loss at UNLV on Friday.
Shearry made five of his seven shots and UC Riverside shot 52.5 percent from the field in the game, with a 58.1 percent success rate in the second half. Pomona-Pitzer made just 28 percent of its shots overall.
The Highlanders led 35-23 at the break and pulled away to a 35-point lead.

Jake Klewer led Pomona-Pitzer with 12 points and six rebounds. The Sagehens are members of Division III.
