Steidl scores 17, Vermont rolls over Marist 86-60

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) Kurt Steidl scored 17 points, Dre Wills had 10 points with 11 rebounds and Vermont cruised to an 86-60 win over Marist on Sunday.

Steidl made 7 of 10 shots, including 3 of 6 3-pointers as the Catamounts (3-4) shot 57 percent (33 for 63). They also had a 46-20 advantage on the boards, 17-4 on the offensive end.

Ethan O'Day and reserves Nate Rohrer and Trae Bell-Haynes had 11 points each as the Catamounts got 30 points off the bench.

Brian Parker made 9 of 13 shots and scored 22 points for the Red Foxes (1-3). Khallid Hart added 15 points.

Rohrer and Steidl each had a 3 and five points in a 10-0 run for a 22-14 lead and Rohrer had another four in a 9-0 burst late in the first half that led to a 43-29 lead at the break. Marist had five rebounds at halftime.
