Report: Tim Floyd not a candidate for Missouri job

Missouri's search for a new men's basketball coach is still on, and UTEP coach Tim Floyd reportedly won'€™t be a part of it.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Yahoo Sports reported Wednesday night that Floyd is not a candidate for the job, though reports earlier in the week indicated that he was. The Tigers are trying to replace Frank Haith, who left last week to take the head coaching job at Tulsa.

Central Missouri's Kim Anderson, 58, who guided the Mules to the Division II national title this past season, remains a candidate for the position, multiple reports indicate. Anderson played for the Tigers under Norm Stewart and had two stints as an assistant with the program. He has been CMU's head coach since the 2002-03 season.
