Milwaukee handles Milwaukee School of Engineering 88-58

MILWAUKEE (AP) Brock Stull and Cody Wichmann each had 13 points, and Milwaukee shot 54 percent from the field en route to an 88-58 season-opening win over Milwaukee School of Engineering on Friday night.

Leading 43-31 at the half, Milwaukee got a layup from Jeremy Johnson with 16:39 remaining to begin a streak of seven consecutive makes. Wichman capped the run with a 3-pointer with 11:56 left to give Panthers a 65-40 lead.

Johnson had 11 points and went 6 of 7 from the free throw line. Stull grabbed 11 rebounds.

Collin Seubert tallied 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting, the lone Raider to score in double figures. Alex Darville made 7 of 12 free throws and scored nine points to go with four rebounds and three assists.

Milwaukee, which led by as many as 35 in the second half, outrebounded MSOE 48-28 and scored 46 in the paint to the Raiders' 22.
