EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State redshirt freshman forward Kenny Goins is expected to miss six weeks due to a sports hernia injury.

The 6-foot-6 Goins joined the Spartans as a walk-on before the 2014-15 season.

Goins is from Troy in suburban Detroit.
