Houston remains undefeated with 93-78 win over Murray State

HOUSTON (AP) Rob Gray Jr. scored 26 points off the bench as Houston remained undefeated with a 93-78 win over Murray State on Wednesday night.

Gray did it with 10-of-15 shooting from the field including four from distance for the Cougars (5-0). Ronnie Johnson had 17 points, Devonta Pollard added 14 points and five rebounds and Galen Robinson Jr. had 13 points. The team averaged 64 percent shooting from the field, 82.6 percent from the line and sank 10 of 15 (66.7 percent) from beyond the arc.

Johnson started the game with a pair of 3-pointers and Gray struck from the paint to help Houston surge to a 23-11 lead midway through the first period. The Cougars had a 51-35 lead at the break and Murray State never got closer than nine points after that.

Gee McGhee had 17 points for the Racers (). Bryce Jones added 14 points and 10 rebounds.
