E. Kentucky 63, Georgia Southern 59

Jaron Jones scored 20 points to help Eastern Kentucky hold off Georgia Southern 63-59 on Saturday night.
Eastern Kentucky built a 47-39 lead with 6:50 left to play in the second half before Georgia Southern went on a 16-8 run to tie the game at 55-all with 2:29 left to play.
The Colonels (6-5) led by two, 57-55, with 38 seconds left when Jones tipped in a miss by Mike DiNunno to put the game out of reach for Georgia Southern.
Eastern Kentucky made four free throws in the final 19 seconds to seal the victory.
Jeff Johnson and Eric Stutz added 10 points apiece for Eastern Kentucky.
Eric Ferguson led Georgia Southern (4-4) with 19 points, shooting 100 percent (9 of 9) from the field.
Both teams shot 50 percent from the field (24 of 48) but Georgia Southern only made 50 percent (9 of 18) from the line.
