The Villanova Crying Piccolo Player went into overtime.
Roxanne Chalifoux, caught on television and thus online with tears streaming down her face as she gamely played her piccolo with the Villanova band after the Wildcats were bounced from the NCAA tournament on Saturday, made one more TV appearance on Monday night. ... Though she wasn't crying this time.
In fact, it was very much the opposite. She was all smiles whiile playing with The Roots, the house band of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." She also received a gift basket from Fallon, including tickets to a Taylor Swift concert.
