Returning from loan Corozo (abdomen) is returning to Peruvian side Sporting Cristal when his loan stint with Austin ends in January.

Impact Corozo made three appearances off the bench following his summer arrival in MLS, but he suffered an injury in August that ruled him out for the rest of the campaign and he's now set to return to Peru.

Loaned to Austin Corozo has joined Austin FC on a six-month loan from Peruvian side Sporting Cristal, the club announced Wednesday.

Impact Corozo scored seven goals in 34 Liga MX appearances (13 starts) while on-loan with Pumas UNAM last season, and the 23-year-old is now moving to Texas for the remainder of 2022, with the option to make the deal permanent. He can play on either wing, but he will likely try to break into the starting lineup on the right where Owen Wolff and Ethan Finlay currently split time for Austin.
