Bilal El Khannouss - Starts at forward during exit El Khannouss registered three tackles (one won) in Thursday's 2-0 loss to France.
Impact El Khannouss was handed the start at forward due to the absence of Ismael Saibari (hamstring), although he struggled to do much. He would go without a shot in his 62 minutes of play, with his only contribution being three tackles (one won). Despite the lackluster performance in their exit, the midfielder was a decent influence in the team for most of the World Cup, completing 182 passes while recording six shots, seven chances created and 10 crosses. However, he did not earn a goal contribution.

Luca Jaquez - Set to miss another match Jaquez (undisclosed) is set to miss out on Tuesday's match against Colombia after failing to rejoin training, according to Lucas Werder of Blick.
Impact Jaquez continues to be on the sidelines or only allowed to work individually at training, leading to his expected absence on Tuesday. After going without the defender last match, the Swiss team will not be left in a crunch, although it is a rough loss of depth. Little more is yet to be known about his injury, leaving his availability for the quarterfinals in the air if Switzerland advances.
3 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Luca Jaquez - Still not training fully Jaquez (undisclosed) is still training individually ahead of Tuesday's match against Colombia, according to Lucas Werder of Blick.
Impact Jaquez is still struggling with an undisclosed issue following Switzerland's round of 32 match, as the defender is still only training individually. With their next contest only a few days away, this is a major concern for the defender who already missed the last match. He has started in one of his two appearances thus far in the World Cup and will likely be a bench option for them if fit on Tuesday.
4 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Laurin Ulrich - Back with Stuttgart after loan Ulrich has returned to Stuttgart after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Magdeburg.
Impact Ulrich extended his contract at Stuttgart before leaving on loan last summer, and he made the most of his chances after making 36 appearances across all competitions for Magdeburg. He scored three goals and added three assists while logging over 2,600 minutes of play. Ulrich is a 21-year-old striker with potential, but he could be set for another loan spell in the 2026/27 campaign.
4 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Eliot Bujupi - Back after Westerlo loan Bujupi (knee) is back at Stuttgart after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Westerlo.
Impact Bujupi made five appearances at Westerlo but suffered a knee injury in December and didn't suit up again for the rest of the campaign. It remains to be seen whether Bujupi will be fit enough for the start of the 2026/27 campaign, but even if he's healthy, another loan spell could be on the cards for the 20-year-old. Bujupi didn't score a single goal during his Westerlo loan spell.
4 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Jovan Milosevic - Returning to Stuttgart Milosevic has returned to Stuttgart after spending the 2025/26 season on loan at Werder Bremen.
Impact Milosevic started in five of his 13 Bundesliga appearances with Bremen, notching three goals, one assist and 12 shots in 483 minutes. The 20-year-old striker remains a long-term project, so it wouldn't be surprising if he leaves Stuttgart on loan for the 2026/27 campaign.
4 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Bilal El Khannouss - Limited impact in Round of 16 El Khannouss recorded two tackles (one won) and one interception in Saturday's 3-0 win against Canada. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 51st minute.
Impact El Khannouss was busy throughout the game, but he didn't have much to show for it, as he didn't play a big role in the final third as he has in past matches. Still, the Stuttgart winger isn't expected to leave the starting XI in the upcoming matches.
5 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Luca Jaquez - Out to face Algeria Jaquez (undisclosed) is out for Thursday's match against Algeria.
Impact Jaquez suffered an injury at training over the weekend, and that will lead him to the sidelines Thursday, with the defender not an option. This could be a rough loss for the club if this game follows the common trend of the round of 32 by entering extra time, as he is a solid defensive option to have off the bench. If they were to advance, it is likely he features in the round of 16, as he was questionable to face Algeria.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Ermedin Demirovic - Owned by Tim Ream in loss to USA Demirovic took two shots on target, committed three fouls, and suffered one foul in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the USA.
Impact Demirovic endured a frustrating evening as Bosnia and Herzegovina fell 2-0 to the United States in the Round of 32. Whenever Bosnia tried to play into their striker, Tim Ream was outstanding at keeping Demirovic at bay. The veteran U.S. captain read the game exceptionally well, stepping in front of passes, winning key aerial duels, and using his positioning rather than pace to deny Demirovic the space he typically exploits. On the rare occasions Demirovic managed to receive with his back to goal, Ream stayed tight and forced him away from dangerous central areas, preventing Bosnia's leading forward from turning and driving at the defense. Chris Richards also provided strong cover, but Ream's composure and leadership were central to neutralizing Bosnia's attack.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Dan Zagadou - Signs contract extension Zagadou has signed a one-year contract extension with Stuttgart until June 2027, the club announced.
Impact Zagadou made eight competitive appearances this season after fighting back from a lengthy injury absence, making his Bundesliga comeback in the matchday 31 home draw against Werder Bremen. Zagadou has now made 53 appearances for Stuttgart since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, contributing two goals and two assists across a spell that has included Bundesliga survival via the relegation playoff, a runners-up finish and two consecutive Champions League qualifications. Sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth praised his footballing qualities, personality and determination to fight back from repeated injury setbacks, with Zagadou himself expressing his gratitude for the club's trust and his commitment to delivering his best performances in the upcoming season.
JULY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Luca Jaquez - Deemed questionable Jaquez (strain) is questionable for Thursday's match against Algeria, according to manager Murat Yakin, per Lucas Werder of Blick. "We're still trying to get him fit."
Impact Jaquez is heading into Thursday's match questionable after some concerns with a muscle injury in training. This will be a concern for the team as they try to keep depth around on the bench as the knockout stages heat up, as multiple matches have already entered extra time and penalties. He started the last match for the team but didn't start in their first two games, so he was expected to serve from a bench spot either way. That said, his option for playing at all will be decided ahead of match time, appearing to be a true game-time decision.
JULY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Luca Jaquez - Sits out training with muscle issue Jaquez did not train before Switzerland's departure to Vancouver due to minor muscular complaints, Lucas Werder of Blick Sport reports.
Impact Jaquez surprisingly earned a starting role at right back in the final group game against Canada but is now questionable for the clash against Algeria following the muscular complaint. Silvan Widmer and Dennis Zakaria, who filled the right back role in the first two games, remain options to step in should he not be passed fit.
JULY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Bilal El Khannouss - Joins Stuttgart permanently El Khannouss has completed a permanent transfer from Leicester City to Stuttgart for an undisclosed fee, his old club announced.
Impact El Khannouss made an immediate impact during his loan spell at Stuttgart from Leicester City, establishing himself as a regular starter and finishing the season with nine goals and seven assists in 41 appearances across all competitions. His performances were convincing enough for Stuttgart to turn the temporary deal into a permanent one, securing the 22-year-old Moroccan international on a long-term basis.
JULY 1 • ROTOWIRE
Bilal El Khannouss - Four crosses in round of 32 El Khannouss had one shot (one on goal) and four crosses (zero accurate) in Monday's 1-1 (4-3) penalty shootout win versus Netherlands.
Impact El Khannouss started his fourth game from four in the World Cup so far, and his number of crosses has increased by one in each game, starting at one in the first and four in the fourth. He has also taken at least one shot in each of the games, with four shots on target coming in the last three games. He was subbed off in this game just a few minutes before the end of the game, 1-0 down, and his team managed to score a late equaliser and win on penalties to book a place in the last 16 against Canada.
JUNE 30 • ROTOWIRE
Deniz Undav - Earns start in Germany's exit Undav registered one shot (zero on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Monday's 1-1 (5-4) penalty shootout defeat versus Paraguay.
Impact Undav would get the start over Jamal Musiala in a bit of a shocking move, earning the spot after decent shifts from the bench in three straight games. Unfortunately for Germany, the move wouldn't work out, as his one shot would be off target and Germany only found themselves tied by the time he exited the field, being his final minutes of the 2026 World Cup. He did still see a decent campaign, notching three goals on six shots and two assists on seven chances created in four appearances (one start).
JUNE 29 • ROTOWIRE
Angelo Stiller - Makes first World Cup appearance Stiller generated one tackle (one won) and one interception in Thursday's 2-1 defeat against Ecuador.
Impact Stiller replaced Aleksandar Pavlovic at halftime after his midfield partner was booked for serious foul play just before the break, entering with Germany locked at 1-1 following Enner Valencia's early equalizer. He chipped in with one tackle and one interception while helping Germany dictate possession for much of the second half, but couldn't stop Ecuador from finding the winner in the 77th minute as Gonzalo Plata finished off Kevin Rodriguez's flicked header. The 2-1 defeat wrapped up Germany's group-stage campaign, though manager Julian Nagelsmann's squad had already secured its place in the Round of 32 before kickoff.
JUNE 25 • ROTOWIRE
Deniz Undav - Comes off bench again Undav recorded one shot (zero on goal) and two chances created in Thursday's 2-1 defeat against Ecuador.
Impact Undav was once again introduced to the match from the bench despite some talk of him earning a start, as the attacker would play 30 minutes. He would see a shot and a few chances created, but was unable to make it a remarkable third game in a row from the bench with a goal contribution. Either way, he remains a storyline of the group stages, earning one goal and two assists in the first match and two goals in their second contest.
JUNE 25 • ROTOWIRE
Luca Jaquez - Swings in two crosses versus Canada Jaquez had two crosses (zero accurate), two clearances and two tackles (zero won) in Wednesday's 2-1 victory over Canada.
Impact Jaquez got meaningful minutes for the first time in the World, held his own in the back, and started the actions that led to the two goals with powerful runs down the flank, stating his case for more regular playing time at the expense of Silvan Widmer and Denis Zakaria. He hadn't picked up stats in lone short cameo before this bout.
JUNE 25 • ROTOWIRE
Bilal El Khannouss - Two shots during win El Khannouss recorded two shots (two on goal), three crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Wednesday's 4-2 win against Haiti.
Impact El Khannouss is still getting his time to shine on the world stage after a third straight start in group stage play for Morocco. He now ends the group stage with 254 minutes played in regulation of the 270 available. However, he is yet to record a goal contribution, with his five shots and six chances created not enough. He will be looking for one in the knockouts, although the competition is about to step up another level.
JUNE 24 • ROTOWIRE
Ermedin Demirovic - Single shot in win Demirovic had one shot (one on goal) in Wednesday's 3-1 win against Qatar.
Impact Demirovic came on and took a single shot during Wednesday's win, but he failed to do much more than that. The forward is a solid contributor who can take chances when they fall his way, but he might struggle against tougher opponents. Demirovic will need to be efficient in the knockout stage against tough defensive opponents.
JUNE 24 • ROTOWIRE
Deniz Undav - Scores brace off bench in win Undav scored two goals to go with three shots (three on goal) and two chances created in Saturday's 2-1 victory versus Cote D'ivoire.
Impact Undav led his team's late comeback by taking advantage of a couple of opportunities inside the box in the 68th and 86th minutes, respectively, of this match. After replacing Jamal Musiala for the final half hour of play, Undav added another attempt on target from long range. He's now among the top attacking contributors in the 2026 World Cup thanks to his three goals and two assists in just 56 minutes, so he'll push for increased outings at the expense of either Musiala or Leroy Sane.
JUNE 20 • ROTOWIRE
Bilal El Khannouss - Another productive World Cup outing El Khannouss recorded one chance created, two crosses and two shots in Friday's 1-0 win over Scotland.
Impact El Khannous was once again a starter for Morocco as he continues to shine on the world stage in his World Cup debut, recording a decent match in the attack against Scotland. However, he has yet to earn a goal contribution in those two starts, appearing to be around the box a lot but unable to earn his moment yet. He has also taken three corners as he gets involved all around, likely to keep his spot moving into the final group stage match.
JUNE 19 • ROTOWIRE
Ermedin Demirovic - No shots against Switzerland Demirovic recorded zero shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to Switzerland.
Impact Demirovic had a rough outing Thursday as he was mainly kept in check by the Swiss defense, not recording a single shot in the loss. This is despite being on the field for 86 minutes, about a quite of a match as you can ask for. He has now gone without a goal in both World Cup matches, only recording two goals.
JUNE 18 • ROTOWIRE
Tim van der Leij - Signs for Stuttgart until 2030 van der Leij has joined Stuttgart from RKC Waalwijk on a contract until June 2030, the club announced.
Impact van der Leij scored 13 goals in the Dutch second division last season plus four more in the cup, helping RKC Waalwijk finish sixth and qualify for the playoffs in his first senior campaign before they ultimately missed out on promotion. Sporting director Christian Gentner praised his exciting profile and the goalscoring touch he showed at Waalwijk, with the tall forward set to initially join Stuttgart's U21 side for pre-season as he progresses gradually toward the first team.
JUNE 18 • ROTOWIRE
Deniz Undav - Records three goal contributions Undav recorded one goal on one shot and two assists on three chances created in Sunday's 7-1 win against Curacao.
Impact Undav entered the field Sunday in the 64th minute, playing 26 minutes in the win. However, his presence was felt, as just four minutes after entering the field, he assisted on Nathaniel Brown's goal. He wouldn't stop there, as he then scored in the 78th minute before another assist on Kai Havertz's 88th-minute goal. This could be something to monitor, as the performance could boost him into more minutes, especially after an expected starter, Lennart Karl, had to exit the team due to injury.
