His absence could result in a return to the lineup for a more defensively-minded player in Unai Vencedor and Lopez should return by the Mar. 7 match against Granada.

Scores in win Lopez scored one goal on his only shot during Monday's 4-0 win over Cadiz.

Impact Lopez made his first start since early November and it paid off with his first goal of the season. Given that when he did start regularly at the beginning of the season Lopez consistently logged more crosses than made tackles, he could have marginal value as a consistent starter. He'll get his next chance to prove what he can do against a better Villarreal defense.
