Continues training fully Mings (knee) was once again involved in team training, according to his club.
Impact Mings is continuing to ramp up his fitness, as the defender was back in team training again. This is a great sign for him, with a return likely pending soon. That said, his next chance to return will be Saturday when facing Everton.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to training Mings (knee) was back in training Friday, according to his club.
Impact Mings is nearing a return to play, as the defender rejoined his teammates for the first time in team training since tearing his ACL last season. After almost a year out, he is still expected to need sometime to recover his fitness. That said, a return will likely still take some time, probably expected to be back on the field around last September to early October.

Close to team training Mings (knee) is nearing a return to team training, according to manager Unai Emery."[Tyrone] is close to starting to do something with the team. Now he's working alone but he's fee...
Impact Mings is still in individual training, but he is getting ever closer to a return to full training. After suffering a major ACL injury there's no guarantee Mings will be rushed back, even when he's back in training. The defender has been working to rebuild muscle in his leg and has no specific timeline for his return, though he'll likely need multiple weeks of full training before being considered an option by Emery.
AUGUST 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not yet training Mings (knee) isn't back in training yet, according to manager Unai Emery.
Impact Mings won't be an option for the opener, and isn't expected to return until the beginning of September. With Mings not set to train in the coming weeks, it's more likely than not he's out until after the first international break. Mings should compete for substantial minutes when back to full fitness.
AUGUST 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Working on recovery Mings continues to build strength and work on his recovery following a torn ACL.
Impact Mings has lossed a significant amount of muscle in his leg following months on the sideline after ACL surgery. He's not expected to return this season given that he's only in the gym and building strength in his knee in late March. If all goes well, he may be in light training in a month or two, but it'll likely take a few months before he's ready to take part in a match.
MARCH 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Season over Mings (knee) won't return for the remainder of the 2023/24 season, manager Unai Emery announced. "I think all season they are going to be out."
Impact Mings suffered the knee injury in the very first match of the Premier League and that will be the end of the season for the defender as well. The hope for Mings now will be a full return for the 2024/25 campaign, where he will hope to earn a consistent starting role.

Knee requires surgery Mings sustained a "significant knee injury" in Saturday's opener and will be out months after he undergoes surgery.
Impact This was thought to be the case for Mings and it's unfortunately the second knee surgery required from a regular starter for Villa the first week of the season. While they had decent depth entering the campaign, that's already diminishing, as Pau Torres and Diego Carlos will get chances for more time without Mings on the back line. Mings had started at least 33 matches each of the last four seasons for Villa.

Injures knee Saturday Mings was carried off in the first half with a possible knee injury in Saturday's match against Newcastle.
Impact It doesn't look like a great injury for Mings, who couldn't do much on his leg and was carried off in tears. While Villa have more depth than last season, it could be the second severe knee injury for them in the last couple days, following the news on Emiliano Buendia. Pau Torres came on for him Saturday and will likely start next to Ezri Konsa going forward with Diego Carlos an option from the bench.

Has another stellar campaign Mings scored one goal, provided two assistsc, created five chances, made 15 tackles, 158 clearances, 54 interceptions and 21 blocks, helped his side to keep 12 clean sheets and was...
Impact Mings had some ups and downs here and there but made a fantastic partnership with Ezri Konsa at the heart of the defense overall and finished the campaign in style, with one goal, 45 clearances and 13 interceptions over his last eight starts. If Villa wants to take another step forward and finally earn a place on continental competition, Mings' performances will probably have a great say on their fate.
JUNE 8, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Busy in draw Mings generated two tackles (one won), 10 clearances and five interceptions in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Liverpool. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 45th minute.
Impact Mings had plenty to do behind the ball throughout Saturday's draw, piling on major defensive volume throughout. The center-back has remained a consistent option defensively with 154 clearances and 52 interceptions in 34 starts. Mings is a cornerstone of the defense and a nailed-on start to close out the Premier League.

Scores winner Mings scored from his only shot and made two clearances in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Fulham.
Impact Mings scored his first goal since November 2021 to earn his team another three points that moves them, temporarily at least, into the European places. The centre-back has been integral in defense for Villa, helping them keep seven clean sheets in their last 10 games. He will have to put in a good performance if they are to deny Man Utd in their next game on Sunday.
APRIL 25, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Delivers assist in victory Mings delivered an assist in Saturday's 3-0 rout of Bournemouth. He also fired three shots (two on-target).
Impact Mings put in an outstanding performance on Saturday. Along with his assists and attacking contributions he also chalked up a strong defense score (two clearances, two blocked shots, an interception and a tackle). The regular starting defender has now made two assists, this was his first since January.
MARCH 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Five clearances in return Mings generated five clearances in Saturday's 4-2 defeat to Arsenal.
Impact Mings made it back to the lineup after missing the last match with an undisclosed injury. With 84 clearances thus far, he is averaging 4.2 a match and currently holds the team lead. This follows 19 clearances in the last five games played.

Impact Mings returns after missing the past and retains his usual starting job. He has registered 13 interceptions, 15 clearances, and one block in the last five games, with two clean sheets.

In contention against Gunners Mings (undisclosed) is expected back in the match-day squad versus Arsenal on Saturday but may not be ready to start. Manager Unai Emery told reporters, "He is in the squad for tom...
Impact Mings has started all 19 of his appearances for the club this season and was an unused substitute just once. As such, it's hard to imagine he won't be included in the starting XI if deemed fit enough. In those outings, the defender has racked up 79 clearances, 32 interceptions and 11 blocks but just one shot (off target). As such, fantasy players shouldn't be expecting much in the way of offensive production out of Mings.

Impact Mings was a surprise absence Sunday against Man City and it unfortunately led to led to three goals allowed in the first half with Calum Chambers in the starting XI. Villa's record without Mings in the XI hasn't been good over the years, so the hope is that he'll be ready to face league leaders Arsenal in a week.
FEBRUARY 13, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Out with injury Mings is not in the match day squad to face Manchester City on Sunday due to injury.
Impact Mings misses out on Sunday's match after suffering an injury in the buildup. The defender's extent of injury should be revealed ahead of next week's against Arsenal.
FEBRUARY 12, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Holds clean sheet for victory Mings generated one tackle (zero won), one clearance and two interceptions in Saturday's 1-0 win over Southampton.
Impact Mings and the Villa back line held second clean sheet in last four matches and the team has been improving of late. The defender though has offered very little offensively despite getting an assist in the last three matches and his best assets have been interceptions and clearances.
