Impact Once again, Kadewere failed to score multiple goals for his new team, though he can be somewhat forgiven considering his limited number of opportunities compared to Vedat Muriqi. And with Kang-In Lee serving as Mallorca's No. 2 forward, with another midfielder replacing him, it is difficult to envision Kadewere having a meaningful role with Mallorca during the 2023-24 La Liga.

Impact Kadewere piled on the volume to try and get a goal back and earn the draw but in the end he was held off the scoresheet yet again. In eight appearances (three starts) Kadewere has scored just once while shooting 15 times and creating three chances. The forward has been unable to live up to the 10 goal, three assist 2020/21 that saw him lead the line for Lyon in Ligue 1.

Impact Kadewere scored his first goal of the season Saturday, a 20th minute effort assisted by Vedat Muriqi which opened up the scoring. It also marked his first start of the season, and he subsequently played his most minutes with 78. He took one other off-target shot in the match, to go along with one chance created and two inaccurate crosses.

Impact Kadewere will hope to make his season debut after a muscular injury wrecked his start to life with Mallorca. After a disappointing 2021/22 campaign with Lyon, Kadewere gets a couple of chances before the World Cup and will look to make an impact in 2023.

Impact There isn't much in the way of official word on Kadewere's status but this is a positive development. With original estimates on his quad injury ruling him out until January of 2023, Kadewere could now play at least once before the World Cup as he nears a full recovery. When able to start, Kadewere will hope to offer another viable attacking option as he was known more for inconsistency last season with Lyon despite scoring 10 times and logging three assists in the 2020/21 campaign.
