Stepping up recovery Lamptey (hamstring) played 20 minutes in an intrasquad friendly Tuesday and could be involved before the end of the month, according to manager Graham Potter.

Impact Lamptey still only managed 20 minutes in a friendly, so he still has some ways to go before he's ready to compete in the Premier League. It appears his first appearance will come in a Cup match and then he'll slowly work up his fitness so he's ready for a league match, something that may not happen until October.

Impact Brighton are taking things as slow as possible given Lamptey's setbacks from this injury. He's been on the pitch for a couple weeks, but it looks like they'll use the break to ramp up his fitness and get him in training. If all goes well, he'll hope to be an option at some point in September.
