Out Sunday
Minamino (undisclosed) remains out for Sunday's match against Leeds United.
Impact
Minamino picked up an injury while with the Japanese national team and returned unfit to play. He still has yet to play this season and has plenty to do in order to find a place in the team once he's healthy.

Impact
Klopp didn't give much of an update on Minamino and either way, he's not a major factor for Liverpool. He's yet to play a minute for them and while Champions League is coming up, it looks like he's just a depth piece for the front trio for now.

Withdraws from national team
Minamino has withdrawn from the Japan national team and is returning to Liverpool following an injury, reports Liverpool Echo.
Impact
Minamino has yet to play a minute for Liverpool this season and that role probably isn't going to change. He had a few sparks on loan at Southampton last season, but he wasn't considered a regular starter in his time there, showing that he may still need some work in the Premier League.

Struggles in limited appearances
Minamino started three of the four final matches this season for Southampton, tallying four shots and three chances created.
Impact
Minamino had a couple nice goals for Southampton, but he ultimately struggled for playing time when everyone was healthy. While he got playing time on his loan from Liverpool, he managed just nine starts in the second half of the season, maybe not as many Liverpool would have liked.
