Extends contract with D.C. Birnbaum has signed a three-year contract extension with D.C. United, the club announced Thursday.

Impact Birnbaum has tallied 13 goals and four assists across 243 MLS appearances since joining D.C. United out of UC Berkeley in 2014, including three goals and seven clean sheets while starting 40 of a possible 43 matches since the start of last season. The 32-year-old center-back has now signed on to remain with the club through the 2025 campaign.
