Signs first-team contract Becher has signed a one-year contract with the Whitecaps with the option to extend for an additional three seasons, the club announced Thursday.

Impact Becher scored on his MLS debut against the Dynamo in August, and the 23-year-old tallied eight goals and four assists with Vancouver's reserve team in MLS NEXT Pro in 2022. The 23-year-old is now being promoted to the senior team, where he can provide depth at center forward following the departure of Lucas Cavallini.

Scores goal in MLS debut Becher subbed into Friday's match against the Dynamo in the 82nd minute, and he scored a goal in the 2-1 victory.

Impact Becher changed Friday's game in what was his first ever MLS appearance, scoring on his debut with an 88th-minute equalizing goal (Vancouver would later complete the comeback and win via a Lucas Cavallini strike in stoppage time). The 23-year-old is on a short-term contract with the Whitecaps from their MLS NEXT Pro team, but he may have earned himself some more opportunities with the senior side.
