Impact Cordova has been unable to recover in time for the weekend after being forced off in the 63rd minute of Tuesday's US Open Cup match against Houston Dynamo, with further tests in the coming days leaving the coaching staff with no option but to keep him sidelined. The forward has played a rotational role this season, so his absence is unlikely to significantly disrupt the team's plans. Three shots Sunday Cordova generated three shots (three on goal), three crosses (zero accurate) and two chances created in Sunday's 1-0 loss versus San Jose Earthquakes.

Impact Cordova piled forward but couldn't extend his goal-scoring streak to three as all three of his shots were stopped. Cordova has struggled mightily for consistency since making the switch to Vancouver.

Another goal off bench Cordova subbed into Saturday's match against the Galaxy in the 76th minute, scoring a goal and creating two chances in the 4-2 victory.

Impact Cordova sealed the result for his side Saturday by converting a rebounded Deiber Caicedo strike for his second goal of the MLS campaign, both of them coming off the bench in his last two games. The striker will hope this can kickstart an uptick in form as up until now he'd been struggling since arriving in Vancouver during the offseason.

Nets off bench Cordova scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal) in Thursday's 2-1 win versus Austin FC.

Impact Cordova scored his first goal for Vancouver in an appearance off the bench. The striker has been nowhere near as good as he was for Salt Lake in 2022, with just a single goal and assist in 16 appearances. The forward will hope to build on this and finish an otherwise disappointing season in good form.

Secondary assist in win Cordova generated five shots (two on goal) in Sunday's 3-2 win versus Los Angeles Football Club.

Impact Cordova picked up his first goal contribution of the 2023 campaign after getting a secondary assist on a Ryan Gauld goal. He has had quite an underwhelming season only having the one goal contribution and only nine shots despite being a forward. Scoreless in rare start Cordova had one shot (zero on goal) and one cross (zero accurate) in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus Sporting Kansas City.

Impact Cordova made his fourth MLS start in 2023 but was held scoreless without putting a shot on goal. The striker failed to threaten the Kansas City net and did little with his eight touches of the ball. Cordova sits behind Brian White and Pedro Vite in the pecking order and has failed to accomplish much with his chances in Vancouver. Cordova is unlikely to find anything more than the limited rotational role he's managed so far.

Returning from loan Cordova has returned to FC Augsburg after the conclusion of his season-long loan with Real Salt Lake, the club announced Friday.

Impact Cordova had a successful loan spell in MLS as he was RSL's leading scorer with 11 goals in 2022. The 25-year-old will hope this can help him kick on at parent club Augsburg, where he has only netted seven times across just 12 Bundesliga starts since joining the team in 2017.

Impact Cordova was RSL's highest scorer this season with 11 goals and one assist in 34 MLS appearances (28 starts) while on-loan from Augsburg. He is set to return to Germany in January but Salt Lake is attempting to make a permanent move for the 25-year-old ahead of the 2023 campaign.

NOVEMBER 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE

Nets brace before subbing off Cordova scored two goals on two shots on target and added one chance created during Sunday's 2-2 penalty shootout loss to Austin FC.

Impact Cordova was replaced in the 60th minute by a more defensive-minded Jasper Loffelsend shortly after teammate Rubio Rubin was sent off with a second yellow card. Prior to departing, he scored a tidy goal in the third minute off a cross from Andrew Brody. He also put RSL up 2-0 from the spot in the 15th. Unfortunately for the forward and his squad, because he was subbed off early for rest, he couldn't participate in the penalty shootout (which RSL ultimately lost).
