Picks up injury Surridge was forced off with a shoulder injury during Thursday's clash with Moca FC.
Impact Surridge will undergo scans when back in Nashville but he will be in heavy doubt for the season opener against RBNY on Sunday. Surridge ending up on the sideline would push Teal Bunbury into the starting XI as the only senior striker on the roster.
FEBRUARY 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Scores twice in eight starts Surridge bagged two goals across 11 appearances (eight starts) during the 2023 MLS season.
Impact Surridge joined Nashville midway through the season and made his presence felt in the team's deep Leagues Cup run, but he failed to do much in league play, going scoreless in all but one of his appearances. Surridge should adjust to life in Nashville by the time the 2024 season starts, and unless the club makes a major signing, he should be their starting striker by the time the upcoming campaign starts.

Impact Surridge never really got into the game on Wednesday, he did not managing to fire any shots at goal. Since joining Nashville from Nottingham Forest in the summer the striker has made six appearances (four starts) and is yet to find the net.
OCTOBER 5, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Fit to face Sporting KC Surridge (lower body) is on the bench for Wednesday's game against Sporting KC.
Impact Surridge is not fit to start and play the entire match, but he could be an option off the bench if things get tricky. Fafa Picault and Alex Muyl will lead the attacking line, while Hany Mukhtar will be deployed in his regular AM role.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Doubtful against Kansas City Surridge (lower body) is a doubt for Saturday's clash with Kansas City, Daniel Sperry reports
Impact Surridge is a surprise addition to the injury report given his start against Charlotte last time out. The striker has started two matches in MLS since making the switch to Nashville and could lead the line again if he passes the late fitness tests. With Randall Leal also uncertain it's possible there is some rotation in the Nashville attack.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable Saturday Surridge (lower body) is questionable for Saturday's match against Charlotte, per MLS writer Ben Wright.
Impact Surridge did not play against Inter Miami with lower body issues. He could be an option for Saturday, but would start off the bench at minimum, with Fafa Picault set to start alongside Hany Mukhtar at forward.
SEPTEMBER 1, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Out against Inter Miami Surridge (lower body) is out against Inter Miami on Wednesday.
Impact Surridge was always considered a long shot to make the squad Wednesday, so his absence isn't surprising. His next chance to feature will come against Charlotte FC on Saturday, and in the meantime, Teal Bunbury and Fafa Picault will play upfront.
AUGUST 30, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Could miss Wednesday's match Surridge (lower body) is questionable to play in Wednesday's match against Miami, according to the teams injury report.
Impact Surridge will be a game time decision for Wednesday's match after being added to the team injury report as questionable. The 25-year-old made his first appearance for Nashville against Atlanta in their last match, but already finds himself injured after picking up a lower body knock. If he is to find himself unfit before Wednesday's match it will not affect the team too much with Hany Mukhtar, Teal Bunbury and Fafa Picault keeping their normal starting positions.
AUGUST 29, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Could make debut Tuesday Surridge could make his Nashville debut Tuesday against Club America in the Round of 16 of the Leagues Cup, head coach Gary Smith told Ben Wright of MLS.com.
Impact It's unclear whether Surridge will jump right into the starting XI or not, as Smith simply said the newly-signed striker "will be involved" in Tuesday's contest. He's expected to compete with Fafa Picault and Teal Bunbury for a starting role, and if he becomes a regular starter, then he'd push Hany Mukhtar to a role in midfield, an area where the German can have a bigger impact in the playmaking department. Surridge started once and made 20 appearances for Nottingham Forest during the 2022-23 season, but he should be in line for a bigger role at the MLS level.

Grabs equalizer from bench Surridge came on from the bench to score from his only shot-on-target. He also had a shot blocked in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Bournemouth.
Impact Surridge came on from the bench after 75 to replace Chris Wood. Forest were pushing to find a late equalizer and Surridge delivered with his first goal of the season. The former Cherrie has made only one start in 13 appearances. He is frequently used by The Garibaldi's manager, Steve Cooper, as a second half substitute to try and inject attacking energy into a game. It certainly worked on Saturday.

Starts opener Surridge started and played 63 minutes, shooting twice off target during Saturday's 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
Impact Surridge was back in the starting XI after recovering from groin surgery and went just over 60 minutes in the loss. The forward might not be a nailed-on starter for Nottingham Forest after making just seven starts for the club in 2021/22, though he did score seven times and assist twice in that time. Surridge will be competing with new signing Taiwo Awoniyi for starting minutes, with the latter favored to secure the job long-term.

Returns in friendly Surridge (groin) started and scored in the first half of Wednesday's friendly against Notts County.
Impact Surridge underwent groin surgery at the end of the 2021/22 season but recently returned to training and got some minutes in Wednesday's friendly. The forward made 40 appearances (13 starts) during the 2021/22 campaign across time with Stoke City and Nottingham Forest. Surridge isn't likely to be a regular starter given new signing but could have some upside if injuries pop up ahead of him in the depth chart.
JULY 26, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Recovering from groin surgery Surridge disclosed Wednesday that he's been recovering from groin surgery performed at the end of the 2021/22 season.
Impact Surridge scored a solid nine goals in 40 appearances last season between Stoke and Nottingham Forest in the EFL Championship despite only starting 13 times. Now in England's top division, Surridge could certainly get a few chances, but recovering from his injury and an increase in minutes would make him more worthwhile.
