Out for season Shawcross underwent back surgery in late September and has been ruled out for the rest of the MLS season.

Impact Shawcross kept one clean sheet in 12 appearances (nine starts) in his first MLS season, but he hadn't featured since August after injuring his back. He will want to come back stronger and more available for Miami next year.

Out Wednesday Shawcross will miss Wednesday's match against Chicago with an undisclosed injury, according to manager Phil Neville via journalist Franco Panizo.

Impact Shawcross didn't play over the weekend in the loss to NYCFC and remains out for another game. In his absence, Leandro Gonzalez Pirez and Jorge Figal are two options to start at center-back.
