Back with Arsenal
Runarsson returns to Arsenal as he was featured on the bench during Saturday's 2-0 loss to Manchester United.
Impact
Runarsson spent last season with Alanyaspor in Turkey. He is set to return to the bottom of the depth chart, unless he is loaned elsewhere before the start of the season

On bench in friendly
Runarsson made the bench for Friday's friendly against Nurnberg after returning from his loan to OH Leuven in Belgium.
Impact
Runarsson left a backup option and returns to a similar situation following the summer arrival of Matt Turner and Bernd Leno continuing in the team. As a result, he isn't likely to have much of a role in the coming campaign.

Available again
Runarsson (COVID-19) is back in full training and will be an option again heading into the international break.
Impact
Runarsson doesn't have a role on the team, behind both Bernd Leno and Aaron Ramsdale, but it's a good sign that he's healthy again. He's set to be the third goalkeeper this season unless he goes elsewhere on loan.

ROTOWIRE
Remains out Sunday
Runarsson will remain out for Sunday's match against Chelsea after testing positive for COVID-19 last week.
Impact
Runarsson was a late test for the opener because he was "unwell" and now Arsenal have released that he tested positive for COVID-19, one of four players. Once again, Karl Jakob Hein is expected to be on the bench Sunday behind Bernd Leno.

ROTOWIRE
Out for opener
Runarsson is not in the squad for Friday's opener against Brentford because he is feeling unwell.
Impact
Runarsson is only the backup to Bernd Leno, so this isn't a major change to Arsenal's squad. He'll hope to return next week and until then, Karl Jakob Hein will be the backup on the bench.
