Roma has signed 18-year-old forward Robinio Vaz from Marseille for a reported transfer fee of 25 million euros

Associated Press
Heads to Roma
Vaz has signed a contract until 2030 upon transferring to Roma from Olympique Marseille.
Impact
Vaz switches sides during his first season in the pros and amid a breakout, as he has notched four assists and two goals in 18 matches across all competitions, mostly operating from the bench since he has started just three times. He has recorded nine shots (seven on target), seven key passes and four crosses (zero accurate) so far. He'll begin with a similar role at Roma and will look to climb the depth chart and should have some opportunities right away since Artem Dovbyk (thigh) and Evan Ferguson (hip) are currently on the shelf.

Sensational appearance off bench
Vaz scored two goals to go with two shots (two on goal) in Wednesday's 2-2 draw versus Angers.
Impact
Vaz scored twice for Marseille off the bench, turning the match around after the early deficit. He demonstrated composure in front of goal and took his chances when they came, showing impressive confidence at such a young age and taking responsibility to help the club get out of a trap against Angers. Beyond the goals, he pressed hard, won duels, and kept Marseille in control until the late equalizer that ended his outing on a sad note. Vaz will likely take a larger role moving forward with his decent outings recently and with Amine Gouiri (shoulder) sidelined for some time.

Impact
Vaz came off the bench and added the 5-1 goal for Marseille in the 88th minute, finishing from close range after a headed assist from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. His substitute appearance made a tangible impact as the hosts sealed the contest. He offered fresh legs on the flank and capitalized on Marseille's tempo and is expected to keep a key role in the frontline with Amine Gouiri (shoulder) sidelined for at least three months.

Doing fine after issue
Vaz (undisclosed) is doing fine and the injury he suffered against Metz was only minor, according to Football Club Marseille.
Impact
Vaz suffered a minor injury that forced him out of the win against Metz before the break. The young striker's injury turned out to be minor and he should be in the squad for Saturday's clash against Le Havre if nothing happens during the week of training. Vaz got his first start in Ligue 1 but will likely hold a bench role moving forward for the Phoceans.

Injured in first league start

Impact
Vaz suffered an injury in his first ever Ligue 1 start on Saturday against Metz. The young striker started the game looking to make an impact behind the defensive line of the Grenats and had a good outing as he provided the assist for Igor Paixao's opener. Vaz will be assessed in the coming days to determine the extent of his injury, although a potential absence after the break won't impact the starting squad since he is expected to remain the third-choice striker behind Amine Gouiri and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
