Late addition in win
Holding played for the final moments of Sunday's 1-0 win over Chelsea.
Impact
Holding has made just four appearances off the bench in the Premier League but has scored once while starting all six Europa League matches. So long as Gabriel and William Saliba continue to excel as a partnership, Holding is unlikely to play much aside from competitions that aren't the domestic league.

Quiet outing in finale
Holding made just two clearances in their 5-1 rout over Everton in the season finale.
Impact
Holding started for the fifth time in their last seven games, but couldn't do much in the season finale. The certerback was never truly a regular during the campaign, finishing with one goal, 13 tackles, 42 clearances and two yellow cards in 15 appearances overall (nine starts). He will now compete for more playing time in 2022-23.

Available for finale
Holding served his one-match suspension and is eligible for Sunday's match against Everton.
Impact
Holding is an option again, but if both Gabriel and Ben White are available, there's no reason for him to move back into the starting XI. Holding has received spot starts of late because of other injuries in the squad, but if not needed, he'll only be an emergency option off the bench for the finale.

Sent off early Thursday
Holding was sent off with his second yellow card in the 33rd minute of Thursday's match against Tottenham.
Impact
Holding made a couple clumsy fouls early in Thursday's match and it resulted in a red card, putting Arsenal in a further hole after going down a goal early. He'd been starting over the injured Ben White of late, but this red card stops that momentum, as he'll be suspended for the trip to Newcastle.

First Arsenal goal
Holding scored once on one shot during Sunday's 2-1 win over West Ham.
Impact
Holding scored his first goal for Arsenal in his 81st appearance for the club over nearly seven years. The defender finally got on the scoresheet and was ecstatic to do so. Holding remains an absolute non-factor for fantasy managers and can be looked past against Leeds next time out.

Plays full 90 midweek
Holding (knee) went the full 90 in Wednesday's Cup win against Wimbledon.
Impact
Holding was back from injury and helped Arsenal progress into the next round. He remains a backup in league play but is expected to get a start here and there when the schedule is busy.

Will miss another match
Holding has progressed his rehab back into training, but a bruised knee will keep him out Saturday against Burnley.
Impact
It's the second-straight absence for Holding due to this injury and even when he's ready to return, he'll likely only be on the bench. It's an unfortunate situation for him, as his only two starts came against Man City and Chelsea, and once he's ready to return, he won't have a starting job.

Out with bruised knee
Holding is not in the squad for Saturday's match against Norwich because of a bruised knee.
Impact
Holding likely would've moved to the bench Saturday even if healthy, so this isn't a major blow to Arsenal. He started the team's last two matches but with Ben White and Gabriel available again, he'll likely move to a bench role.

Starts two of three games
Holding has started two of Arsenal's opening three matches to start the new season.
Impact
Holding missed out on Arsenal's opener against Brentford but was reintegrated into the starting lineup and played the full 90 minutes against both Chelsea and Manchester City. With the Gunners struggling through three games, Holding has amassed team-high totals in blocks and tackles through the first three games.

Should be good for opener
Holding (fitness) wasn't listed on the injury report ahead of Friday's opener against Brentford.
Impact
Holding apparently wasn't fit last week and he's not dealing with an injury, so the thought is that he should be an option Friday. That said, given his recent absences, Ben White and Pablo Mari are likely to start against Brentford.

Not fit for friendly
Holding was not in the squad for Sunday's friendly against Tottenham because he was not fit, according to manager Mikel Arteta.
Impact
Holding has one week to get back his full fitness, and if not, he won't be an option to start Friday's opener against Brentford. But even with the injury to Gabriel, Arsenal still have Ben White and Pablo Mari available to them at center-back.

28 starts this season
Holding made 28 starts from 30 EPL appearances this season.
Impact
Holding also managed to keep three clean sheets in the final five matches of the campaign, which isn't something one could consistently trust to David Luiz each week, thoug his hamstring injury made the decisions a little easier. With Holding finally got for an entire season, we got a good look of how talented he actually is and can be if he remains a starter and improves his play with each passing campaign.
