Undergoes knee surgery Romo will miss the rest of the season after undergoing an operation on his meniscus Tuesday, Steven Goff of the Washington Post reports.

Impact Romo kept one clean sheet and conceded 33 goals in 14 MLS appearances (13 starts) this season, taking over the starting goalkeeper job in D.C. after Bill Hamid suffered a hand injury in June but then getting replaced by new arrival David Ochoa in August. Romo is under contract through the 2023 campaign, but he'll be the third-choice goalkeeper if all three are still at the club.
