Mateus Fernandes - Productive in first start Fernandes recorded one shot (zero on goal), seven crosses (two accurate) and four corners in Saturday's 2-0 loss to Newcastle United.
Impact Fernandes made his first Spurs start Saturday, playing in central attacking midfield in place of the injured James Maddison (shoulder). He had a productive outing, highlighted by his three chances created and seven crosses, but ultimately could not help his side find a goal at home. With Maddison expected to also miss Saturday's match at Nottingham Forest, there's a good chance Fernandes will start again.

Mohammed Kudus - Makes long-awaited return Kudus recorded one shot (zero on goal), five crosses (zero accurate) and two corners in Saturday's 2-0 loss against Newcastle United.
Impact Kudus made his first appearance since suffering a serious quadriceps injury on Jan. 4. He replaced Mathys Tel in the 68th minute and immediately provided a spark on the wing. Still, he looked a bit rusty as he didn't record an accurate cross despite contributing five crosses, and a couple of the crosses were way off target. It may take him some time to fully get back to himself, but once he does he will be a regular member of the starting XI.

Omar Marmoush - Productive in Spurs debut Marmoush generated three shots (one on goal) and three chances created in Saturday's 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United.
Impact Marmoush made his debut for Tottenham Saturday, just two days after joining the club on loan from Manchester City. His immediate inclusion in the starting XI is indicative of how the club feels about Richarlison and Dominic Solanke, and Marmoush had a performance worthy of a starter. He took three shots and created three chances on the attack, and while he didn't help Spurs find its first goal of the season, it was still a very positive performance given the circumstances. He'll hope to find his first goal Saturday at Nottingham Forest.

Pedro Porro - Four shots in Saturday's loss Porro had four shots (one on goal) and four crosses (one accurate) in Saturday's 2-0 loss against Newcastle United.
Impact Porro, who missed the season opener due to an undisclosed injury, returned to the starting XI Saturday. Instead of playing his typical position of right back, he started on the right wing and was very active on the attack. He took four shots, putting one on target, and recorded four crosses, but ultimately could not help Spurs find its first goal of the season. With Mohammed Kudus now healthy and Savio recently joining the club, Porro will likely move back to right back soon.

Antonin Kinsky - Concedes twice in Saturday's loss Kinsky recorded no saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United.
Impact Kinsky only faced two shots on target Saturday, but he still conceded two goals in the loss. Both goals -- scored by Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa -- would have been difficult to save, but that's not much consolation for the keeper who's conceded five goals through two matches this season. Next up is a trip to Nottingham Forest where he'll look to find his footing.

Sven Botman - Keeps clean sheet Saturday Botman recorded one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 2-0 victory against Tottenham Hotspur. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 79th minute.
Impact Botman made his second straight start Saturday, once again starting in central defense alongside Malick Thiaw. He helped keep the clean sheet, contributing four duels won and four clearances in his full 90 minutes of action. He'll hope to keep the momentum going Saturday versus Bournemouth.
