GAME LOG

Expected to train fully next week Neto (undisclosed) is expected to return to full training in his return from "a couple of recent minor issues unrelated to the initial knee injury," according to the team.
Impact Neto missed the two matches prior to the break, but it looks like everything he's dealing with is minor. Once he gets back to complete health, he should again contend for starts. He's worked his way slowly back into the squad, receiving one start in the five matches in which he was available.

Ruled out Friday Neto (undisclosed) has been ruled out until after the international break, according to manager Bruno Lage. "Neto and Semedo will be back after the international break."
Impact Neto will be sidelined until the Premier League resumes early in April. The forward has been dealing with what is essentially a lost season as he has only made five appearances (one start) due to injury. He will hope to close the season out well, and head into the 2022/23 campaign fully fit and looking to build off his 11 goals contributions in 2020/21.
MARCH 17, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Extends Wolves contract Neto has extended his contract with Wolverhampton, keeping him at the club until 2027.
Impact This new contract adds three years to Neto's deal, though that won't stop any high-end club from calling. He was already in transfer discussions last year after posting five goals and six assists last season and expects to be in more conversations as he gets back to full fitness.
MARCH 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Creates three chances in loss Neto created three chances and won one of one tackles in Saturday's 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace. He also made a clearance and an interception in the match.
Impact Neto started his first Premier League game in 11 months Saturday after recovering from a fractured kneecap he suffered in April, and he played well in his hour on the pitch. He's still being gently eased back into the lineup, but he is getting closer to reaching full fitness.
MARCH 6, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Plays nine minutes Sunday Neto played nine minutes off the bench in Sunday's win against Leicester and finished with one shot and one tackle won.
Impact It was good to see Neto back on the pitch after almost a year on the sidelines because of a knee injury. He'll likely get a couple appearances off the bench before he's asked to start again, but his presence gives Wolves yet another attacking option the rest of the way.
FEBRUARY 21, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Option off bench Neto (knee) is an option off the bench for Sunday's clash with Leicester City.
Impact Neto is on the bench for Sunday's clash with Leicester as he has made his return from a knee injury. The forward has been making his way back from a long-term injury and won't be rushed back. He may be a candidate for a late cameo to try and test out his fitness.

Training, could be option soon Neto (knee) is back in training and could be an option for upcoming matches, according to manager Bruno Lage. "Everyone is training with the team, now we need to see day by day how...
Impact Neto is considered "fit," but that doesn't mean he's ready to play having not featured since last April. He's coming back from a serious knee injury, so he won't be pushed into the squad and it wouldn't be surprising if he was given a couple bench appearances before even playing. Either way, it's a nice boost to the side after he compiled five goals and six assists last season.
FEBRUARY 18, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Working alone on pitch Neto is working alone on the pitch is his recovery from a broken kneecap.
Impact Neto is edging closer to a return, but it looks like he has another couple weeks before he can be an option again. He's probably another week or two away from full training and from there he'll have to work on his fitness, as he hasn't played since April because of this injury.
JANUARY 6, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Recovery going well Neto (knee) is set to return to training with Wolves in January, according to Tim Spiers of the Athletic.
Impact Neto hasn't played since he suffered a broken kneecap in April, and he suffered a setback in his recover in August that extended his absence. But the 21-year-old has been on track since then and could be making his return in the next month or two.
DECEMBER 15, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Set to see knee specialist Neto is set to see a knee specialist in October to review his progress and he won't have a return date until then.
Impact This isn't a positive update on Neto after reports came out earlier in the season that he suffered a setback. For now, it's best to assume he probably won't be an option before the turn of the year.
SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hopeful to return by end of year Neto (knee) has a possible return date of November or December after suffering a setback, according to manager Bruno Lage.
Impact It's clear Wolves don't know when Neto will be able to return, as the initial report from The Athletic suggested a February date. While a November return would be nice, it's still unknown what setback he suffered and nothing will be clear until he can get out on the pitch and at least get some running on his knee.
AUGUST 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Expected out until February Neto is expected to be out until February after suffering a setback in his recovery from a fractured kneecap, reports The Athletic.
Impact This is a massive blow to Wolves and Neto, who underwent surgery in April for this injury. It was originally expected that Neto would be an option in the coming months, but this changes those projections with more time ahead for Francisco Trincao. As for Neto, he's now expected to be out almost an entire year because of this injury.
