Tracking well
Zinchenko is "progressing well" to feature in the Dec. 26 Boxing Day match against West Ham, according to manager Mikel Arteta.
Impact
Zinchenko didn't play in the Dec. 17 friendly against Juventus as some fitness issues have arisen during the World Cup break and throughout October as well. There isn't much to worry about yet, but keep an eye out if Zinchenko is still unable to train without limits over the next week.

Makes four tackles in win
Zinchenko made four tackles (two won) during 78 minutes of Sunday's 1-0 win over Chelsea.
Impact
Zinchenko made his first start since returning from a calf injury that kept him out for all but one game in October. If he can stay fit and improve his fitness during the break for the World Cup, Zinchenko should regularly start at left-back in 2023.

Left on bench in win
Zinchenko spent Thursday's 1-0 win over FC Zurich on the bench.
Impact
Zinchenko wasn't able to play but appears to be back after a month-long absence with a thigh injury. Once fit enough to start, Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu will likely see reductions in their minutes at left-back. Since fitness has been an issue for all three of these players at various moments, Zinchenko may not reliably start each match in the second half of the season either.

Returns to training
Zinchenko (calf) participated in Wednesday's training session ahead of Thursday's UEL match against FC Zurich, according to Simon Collings of the Evening Standard.
Impact
Zinchenko might be back in training but don't count on much until he gets the all-clear from manager Mikel Arteta. While waiting for that news, Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu should continue to alternate appearances at left-back.

Remains out of squad
Zinchenko is not in the match day squad to face Southampton on Sunday.
Impact
Zinchenko was close to a return after training in the buildup to the match but ultimately fails to make the squad as he continues to recover from a calf injury. The versatile wide man will hope to make his return next week against Nottingham Forest.

Could return Sunday
Zinchenko (calf) may be available versus Southampton on Sunday with manager Mikel Arteta telling reporters, "I think he's close [to returning]. He's getting better and better and h...
Impact
Arteta wouldn't go so far as to confirm Zinchenko would be in the squad Sunday but it certainly seems the defender is trending in the right direction. The left-back has started five of his six appearances this season but will have to supplant Kieran Tierney from a spot in the starting XI.

ROTOWIRE
Out Thursday
Zinchenko (calf) didn't make the team sheet for Thursday's UEL match against PSV.
Impact
Zinchenko was given a chance to return by manager Mikel Arteta but he's been exceptionally reserved with information about the Ukranian during an absence of five straight games. It's not worth counting on too much information until Zinchenko gets the all-clear, though there should be a better shot of him returning before the end of October if he's on the right track.

Has chance to play
Zinchenko (calf) has yet to be ruled out for Thursday's UEL match against PSV and will be assessed ahead of the match, according to manager Mikel Arteta via Simon Collings of the E...
Impact
Zinchenko now has the possibility to return after missing the last four games following a muscular injury from which little has been disclosed until he skipped Wednesday's training session. His chances of starting are far less certain, so look to Kieran Tierney as the top choice following his start at left-back for the last UEL match against Bodo/Glimt a week ago. Pending how assessments go, Zinchenko may have a good chance of featuring in Sunday's trip to Southampton.

ROTOWIRE
Still unfit
Zinchenko (calf) missed Wednesday's training session ahead of Sunday's trip to Southampton, according to Simon Collings of the Evening Standard.
Impact
Zinchenko still awaits clearance from a muscular injury that's knocked him out of four games so far and a fifth since it's highly unlikely he'll feature Thursday against PSV in the Europa League. Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney will continue to alternate starts at left-back until Zinchenko returns.

Continues to miss out
Zinchenko (strain) didn't make the lineup for Sunday's match against Leeds United.
Impact
Zinchenko has been out for three consecutive matches due to a muscular injury and there's been sparing updates on his status. It will still be Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney to alternate starts at left-back until Zinchenko is fit.

ROTOWIRE
Remains out Thursday
Zinchenko (strain) isn't available for Thursday's UEL match against Bodo/Glimt.
Impact
Zinchenko will miss a third match over the past week and it's still uncertain when he might return. Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu will likely share the starts at left-back for as long as it takes until Zinchenko is back.

Impact
Zinchenko also missed Thursday's Europa League match against Bodo/Glimt and remains out Sunday. With the prognosis uncertain, Takehiro Tomiyasu gets the start at left-back against a difficult opponent.

ROTOWIRE
Absent in Europa League
Zinchenko (undisclosed) wasn't in the first team during Arsenal's 3-0 win over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday.
Impact
Zinchenko also missed Wednesday's training as a precaution, football.london reports. While it's not clear exactly how serious the injury is being out of the first team entirely during Thursday's clash makes Zinchenko one to watch before a Sunday match with Liverpool. If he's unable to go it would likely be Kieran Tierney at left-back taking on the formidable Mohamed Salah. Arsenal will likely clear the situation up Saturday, following the final training session of the week.

Getting nod in Derby
Zinchenko (calf) made the XI to face Tottenham Saturday.
Impact
Zinchenko picked up a calf problem before the break and recovered during the time off. He has tallied one assist, three shots (one on target), two chances created, and four crosses (two accurate) in five Premier League starts.

ROTOWIRE
Will be option Saturday
Zinchenko (calf) "is part of the team" for Saturday's match against Tottenham, according to manager Mikel Arteta.
Impact
Zinchenko has had two weeks to recover from a calf issue, though it's hard to see him starting Saturday. Kieran Tierney looks to be good following a concussion, while Zinchenko is dealing with a muscle issue, meaning the former is more likely to be in the XI against Tottenham, especially with a ton of matches upcoming.

Suffers calf injury in training
Zinchenko suffered a calf injury in a recent training session and will be out at least two weeks, reports the Ukraine Association of Football.
Impact
Mikel Arteta didn't have a note on Zinchenko, but considering he's not well enough to play for Ukraine over the break, Arsenal aren't going to use him for Sunday's trip to Brentford. Injuries remain an issue for Zinchenko and fortunately for Arsenal, Kieran Tierney is healthy enough to start for them at left-back.

Two tackles and a clearance in win
Zinchenko played a clearance, two tackles and two crosses (both accurate) in Arsenal's decisive 3-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday.
Impact
Zinchenko was effective at neutralizing attacks down the left of the field. He has been an impressive contributor for Arsenal since joining from Manchester City and is likely to be good fantasy value at the Gunners being an efficient defender, playmaker and getting on the scoresheet occasionally. He has made three appearances, delivered one assist and a clean sheet.

ROTOWIRE
Takes two shots in win
Zinchenko took two shots (zero on goal) and made two interceptions during Saturday's 4-2 win over Leicester City.
Impact
Zinchenko didn't have as impressive a game as he did in the opener against Crystal Palace, but he didn't need to do as much with the contest in control from kickoff. Even with Kieran Tierney fit, Zinchenko appears to have taken over as the starter at left-back for now.
