Unused sub versus Genoa Fortini (back) wasn't fielded in Sunday's 0-0 draw with Genoa.

Impact Fortino was an option after being sidelined for a couple of months because of a fairly severe back injury but wasn't deployed right away. He'll remain a fringe option in a few role in the last two matches. He has appeared 16 times (two starts) so far, notching 22 tackles, 29 crosses (five accurate) and eight shots (two on target).

Selected for Genoa contest Fortini (back) has been included in Fiorentina's squad list to face Genoa on Sunday.

Impact Fortini will be available for the first time since early March after dealing with a lingering back injury. He'll resume providing depth in multiple positions on the wings. He has come off the bench in his last ten appearances, notching five shots (one on target), two chances created and seven tackles (two won).

Still missing Fortini (back) hasn't been selected for Saturday's clash with Verona.

Impact Fortini hasn't been able to recuperate from his back injury during the break and will miss his third game in a row. He would likely have gotten the call with Dodo (thigh) and Fabiano Parisi (undisclosed) sidelined. Pietro Comuzzo or Eddy Kouadio will adapt to the right-back position, unless the coach changes the scheme.

Absent versus Cremonese Fortini will sit out Monday's game against Cremonese due to back pain, La Gazzetta dello Sport informed.

Impact Fortini has been a regular in the UEFA Conference League, often relieving Dodo, but he hasn't featured in six straight matches in Serie A. Pietro Comuzzo will fill in at right-back if needed. Fortini will be re-evaluated next week.

Impact Fortini was back in the starting lineup but didn't make the most of his service as only one of his six crosses was deemed accurate. He has a chance to redeem himself against Genoa, a team which has allowed 13 goals in nine matches and is at the bottom of the Serie A table.
