Available from bench Ake (hamstring) is in the squad to face Wolves on Sunday.
Impact Ake returns for the first time since August after missing City's last four Premier League matches through injury. The defender has yet to make a start this season with Josko Gvardiol the locked in starter at left-back.

Fitness test ahead of Sunday Ake (hamstring) will be a late call for Sunday's trip to the Wolves. According to manager Pep Guardiola, "Nathan did his first training with the team. Maybe can travel but to start...
Impact Ake is just getting back to training with City following a hamstring injury that saw him stretched off while serving time with the Dutch national team back in September. He is on the right track of recovery, as the defender has a high chance of making the trip Sunday. Even so, he is not expected to get the start right away as fitness is a priority to work on after an injury like this. This means that Josko Gvardiol will continue to start at left back for Pep Guardiola's side.
OCTOBER 18, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Set for time out Ake (hamstring) is expected to be out until after the next international break, according to manager Pep Guardiola.
Impact Ake will need some time to get back on his feet after he was stretchered off the field while serving with the Netherlands, as the defender is now expected to be out until after the next international break that takes place from Oct. 10 to 18. This will be a tough loss for the club, with the Dutch defender being a solid rotational player within their defense. On the bright side, Manuel Akanji and Josko Gvardiol are more than worthy replacements to take Ake's time while out. He will now hope for no setbacks as he looks to reach peak fitness again, as he will already miss around a month of action.
SEPTEMBER 17, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Stretchered off Ake was stretchered off after a non-contact injury during Tuesday's clash with Germany.
Impact Ake was holding his hamstring before being stretchered off, and is a major concern coming out of the international break. The defender has made just one appearance off the bench for his club side and wouldn't be a major loss in the starting XI if ruled out for Saturday's clash with Brentford.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Mainstay in defense Ake registered two interceptions and picked up a yellow card in Saturday's 2-1 win against Turkey.
Impact Ake was pretty quiet Saturday, as the defender only earned two tackles in his 73 minutes of play. However, he likely would've seen a better match if he remained in the game for the final 15 minutes while the Netherlands sat back and protected their lead, although he was taken off due to his yellow card, making sure he wasn't suspended for the semifinal. He should continue as a starter, as he is a key piece of the solid Dutch defense.
JULY 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Credited with assist in win Ake assisted once to go with zero corners and four chances created in Sunday's 2-1 victory against Poland.
Impact Ake was extremely fortunate to be credited with the assist, as the Manchester City defender attempted to control a clearance, and while his touch was a bit heavy, that allowed Cody Gakpo to have enough space to drill an unstoppable shot from outside the box. Ake was particularly active going forward in this match, but he's likely to play with a more defensive stance -- thus, limiting his fantasy upside -- against France on Friday.
JUNE 20, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Solid season in defense Ake made 29 appearances (24 starts), registering two goals on 20 shots and two assists on six chances created to go along with 14 interceptions, 26 tackles and 52 clearances.
Impact Ake saw a decent season serving in multiple roles, being the centerpiece of Pep Guardiola's rotations in the defense by playing in the center and on the left side. He notched his best season attacking-wise since joining City from Bournemouth in 2020, registering four goal contributions after only having four in league play since joining the club. He will likely serve in a similar role next season, sharing time with Manuel Akanji, but likely seeing less time at left-back after Josko Gvardiol had a great end to the campaign, pretty much securing that spot indefinitely.
MAY 30, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Back on bench Ake (undisclosed) is on the bench for Tuesday's clash with Tottenham.
Impact Ake came off after 22 minutes against Fulham with an issue, but it appears it's not overly serious. The defender started five matches in a row before suffering the injury, but now falls to the bench with Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias starting in central defense.

Late call for Tuesday Ake (undisclosed will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's match against Tottenham, according to manager Pep Guardiola. "Nathan was much better yesterday, Now we are going to trai...
Impact Ake looks likely to face a fitness test ahead of Tuesday's match to decide his availability, as he is still dealing with slight complications after going down Saturday despite training Monday. Luckily for the club, even if he misses out Tuesday, he should be an option for the season finale after his injury was deemed "not serious" by the manager. He will now hope to pass his testing and be an option, likely lining up on the bench and getting time later in the match to test his legs if fit.
MAY 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Forced off early Ake was forced off in the first half of Saturday's match against Fulham with an injury.
Impact Ake left the match in the 22nd minute succumbing to injury and being replaced by Kyle Walker. The full extent of Ake's injury should be available following the match or in the buildup to Tuesday's clash with Tottenham.

Unused on bench Ake (calf) went unused on the bench during Saturday's 5-1 win over Luton Town.
Impact Ake missed three matches in a row with a calf strain but returned to the bench during the 5-1 battering of Luton Town. The defender has been a relatively consistent starter when fit, though it would be a tall task for him to take any major minutes during Wednesday's clash with Real Madrid. Ake reportedly trained fully ahead of Wednesday's clash.
APRIL 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Out once more Ake (calf) is out for Saturday's trip to Crystal Palace, according to manager Pep Guardiola. "Ederson is much better and maybe will be on the list. Nathan [Ake] and Kyle [Walker]...
Impact Ake is set for another match on the sideline, though reportedly he should be back sooner than Walker. Ake's next chance to get back on the pitch is a Tuesday trip to Real Madrid in Champions League action. Rico Lewis could get more starting chances with Ake injured.

Bags rare assist Ake assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal), two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Saturday's 2-0 win over Everton.
Impact Ake was an unexpected assister Saturday, finding Erling Haaland in the 71st minute for the club's first goal of the match. This was a rare assist for the defender, now only having two on the season, with his last coming in 2019 until this campaign. He was much more quiet on the defensive front of things, notching only two tackles.

Gets start against Urawa Ake got the start and played 90 minutes during Tuesday's 3-0 win over Urawa Red Diamonds.
Impact Ake was back in the starting XI for Tuesday's 3-0 win and had a solid match to earn the clean sheet. Like any Manchester City player the threat of rotation is always there for Ake, but still he's in good form of late and he started the last two Premier League matches in row.
DECEMBER 19, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Find rare assist Ake assisted once to go with zero corners and one chance created in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Liverpool.
Impact Ake set up the only goal during the draw on his only chance created. The center-back isn't much of an offensive provider in most matches but this was still a nice boon for Ake. Moving forward Ake is more worthwhile for his defensive volume and clean sheet upside as more goal contributions aren't likely to follow.
NOVEMBER 27, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Makes XI for Liverpool game Ake is getting the call from the start for Saturday's match versus Liverpool.
Impact Ake returns after missing one game and the Dutch fixtures with a minor injury and is starting over Josko Gvardiol. He has recorded six tackles, nine clearances, and two crosses in his last five appearances, with one goal and no clean sheets.
NOVEMBER 25, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Training Thursday Ake (undisclosed) was spotted in training Thursday, ahead of Saturday's clash with Liverpool.
Impact Ake was active in training Thursday despite spending the international break in Manchester due to an injury. It's unclear if he's actually in doubt for Saturday's clash with Liverpool, but he did miss the final match before the international break against Chelsea.
NOVEMBER 23, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Scratched from Dutch squad Ake won't play for Netherlands over the break because of injury which forced him to miss Sunday's match against Chelsea.
Impact Ake went 45 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's Champions League win and then was completely out against Chelsea over the weekend. There hasn't been a ton of reports on the issue and the hope is that he'll be ready to play in two weeks. Given the depth of the City back line, he's moved in and out of the starting XI this season, starting six league and two UCL contests.

Starts and scores in rout Ake scored one goal to go with one shot (one on goal), one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 6-1 victory over AFC Bournemouth.
Impact Ake scored in the 88th minute to seal Manchester City's win with his second goal in the season. The centerback logged his eight start in 12 overall appearances so far. He also led his side in clearances (four) to help them earn three points at home.

Goes 90 against Ireland Ake (hamstring) started and went 90 minutes in Sunday's 2-1 win against Ireland.
Impact Ake was back in the squad as expected and there's no worry about his hamstring issue suffered in the prior match. He'll return to Manchester this week and will be an option for the starting XI for Saturday's trip to West Ham. Whenever all of their defenders are healthy, Ake figures to move in and out of the starting XI between league and Champions League play.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Training after hamstring problems Ake was seen in Friday's training session after being subbed off at the break of Thursday's match against Greece because of hamstring problems, reports NOS.
Impact It's a positive update on Ake, who was forced off Thursday, seemingly as a precaution for a hamstring issue. If he's already back in training, he should be good to go, though his status will be determined when Netherlands return for Sunday's qualifier. If he doesn't appear there, hopefully Man City will have more information on the issue next week.
