Threatens twice in narrow defeat Murillo registered three shots (one on goal) and two chances created in Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Impact Murillo recorded three shots, putting one on target, and one interception across the full 90 minutes in Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal. He forced David Raya into a save with a header from a corner early in the second half before producing one of Forest's best late opportunities, carrying the ball past several Arsenal defenders and curling an effort narrowly off target. Murillo also contributed to Forest's organized defensive performance, helping restrict Arsenal to a single shot on target despite ultimately conceding Noni Madueke's deflected winner.

Impact Murillo provided the key contribution in the buildup to Liam Delap's opener, also being part of the chaotic six-minute sequence where Matz Sels clawed a Victor Lindelof effort off the line before Murillo's clearing header struck the Swede and forced Sels into another stop. He registered one chance created and zero shots across 90 minutes while helping Forest maintain their defensive shape throughout a match they dominated for long stretches, ending the game with two won tackles, two interceptions and eight clearances.

Impact Murillo is still building toward full match fitness, having taken late substitutions in two of Nottingham Forest's first three Premier League fixtures. The encouraging sign is that he's trending upward, already trusted to start all three matches. Even without being at peak condition, he remains a central piece of the back line, winning four tackles, four aerial duels, blocking two shots, and contributing to a clean sheet across his trio of starts.

Single shot Saturday Murillo generated one shot (zero on goal) in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Liverpool.

Impact Murillo took a single poor shot and had a quiet day for the most part during Saturday's draw. Earning a point and a quiet game in Anfield is far from a bad outcome for a defender going to visit. He should have the chance to build on this with some easier matches, at least on paper, in the coming weeks.

Impact Murillo was included as part of a potential first-unit lineup to face the La Liga champions, confirming he's ready for his regular workload following his injury recovery. Impact Murillo missed Saturday's 2-0 preseason win over Notts County alongside Callum Hudson-Odoi and Nicolo Savona as all three continue their respective recoveries. Manager Oliver Glasner said the defender is already training and completing good rehab sessions, with the next step being an increase in intensity as he works back toward normal training. The coach noted a more measured timeline for Murillo compared to Hudson-Odoi, who is expected to return quickest of the group. Murillo is expected to continue building up his workload as Nottingham Forest's preseason progresses.

Impact Murillo is now tied to Forest for one additional year, as his previous contract went through 2029. The center-back was a primary factor in his side's success that led them to the Europa League semifinals in the 2025/26 campaign. Although his involvement has been limited by injuries, he finished his third season with the club with totals of 47 tackles, 43 interceptions and 156 clearances over 39 matches played across all competitions. He also made his Brazilian national team debut in 2025, but he hasn't been called up since then.

Impact Murillo's absence now extends across the final stretch of the campaign, with the Brazilian center-back unable to shake the hamstring issue that has kept him sidelined for multiple consecutive matches. The defender finishes the season with 47 tackles, 43 interceptions and 156 clearances across 39 appearances in all competitions, underlining his importance as one of Nottingham Forest's most reliable defensive presences throughout the campaign. Nikola Milenkovic, Jair Cunha and Morato are expected to continue forming the three-man central defensive unit in his absence as Forest close out their season against Bournemouth.

Out once again Murillo (hamstring) is out for Sunday's game against Manchester United, according to manager Vitor Pereira. "That's all. Murillo out, Aina out."

Impact Murillo is set to miss a fourth straight EPL game due to a nagging hamstring problem, and he'll target a return for the final game of the campaign at home against Bournemouth on Sunday, April 24. With Murillo out, expect Forest to continue playing Nikola Milenkovic, Jair Cunha and Morato in a three-man central defense.

Remains out Murillo (hamstring) is ruled out for Sunday's clash against Newcastle United.

Impact Murillo has failed to pass the late fitness test that was set to determine his availability, confirming his absence for the clash against the Magpies despite his brief cameo in Thursday's UEL contest having raised tentative hopes of a swift return. His unavailability is a major concern for a Nottingham side already dealing with a lengthy injury list, with Nikola Milenkovic set to be partnered by Jair Cunha and Morato in a three-man central defense in his place. His situation will be monitored closely in the coming days as the club hopes to have their regular defensive starter back before the final fixtures of the campaign.

Impact Murillo came on the field for a late appearance in UEL play Thursday, but remains in doubt to face the Magpies, as he was clearly not fit enough to play yet. This is a major question for the club as they could continue without a regular starter, likely to be up to a late fitness test. If he ends up missing out, expect Nikola Milenkovic and either Jair Cunha or Morato to make up the center-back pairing.

Impact Murillo's brief appearance against Villa was clearly a calculated risk rather than a sign he had recovered sufficiently, and coach Pereira's candid assessment makes clear the center-back needs more time before being able to contribute properly. Nottingham Forest head into Sunday's Premier League fixture with a heavily depleted squad, with the coach uncertain whether any of the injured players can recover in time to feature against the Magpies.

MAY 7 • ROTOWIRE

Fit for bench Murillo (hamstring) is on the bench for Thursday's match against Aston Villa.

Impact Murillo is going to be an option for Nottingham Thursday, but in a limited role, as the defender resides on the bench to face Villa. The chances of the defender seeing the field are decent as the match goes on, especially if the club finds itself defending to hold a lead. He will likely return to a starting role in league play over the weekend.

Impact Murillo has now missed multiple consecutive matches with the hamstring issue, and manager Vitor Pereira's cautious comments suggest the club is not counting on his availability for one of the most important fixtures of their season. The center-back has been a key defensive figure for Nottingham Forest, and his continued absence leaves Morato and Jair Cunha as the expected pairing at center-back for Thursday's clash. The club will make a final decision following their team meeting, though the indications point toward another absence for the Brazilian defender. His return remains a priority heading into the final stretch of a pivotal campaign.

Not available for Monday Murillo (hamstring) is ruled out for Monday's clash against Chelsea.

Impact Murillo has been unable to shake the hamstring injury that had kept him out of the last two matches, extending his absence into Monday's contest despite the club's hopes of having their regular starting center-back available again. His continued unavailability is a growing concern for Nottingham, already dealing with limited defensive options, with Morato and the returning Jair Cunha starting in central defense. His situation will be monitored closely in the coming days as the club hopes to have one of their key defensive figures back before the final fixtures of the campaign.

Impact Murillo is one of the many players entering Monday questionable for Nottingham, still trying to heal from a hamstring injury. He has missed their past two games, and with defensive options getting low, the club will hope to have a regular starter at center-back fit again. If fit come Monday, he could see the starting XI; otherwise, the club may have to turn to Morato or a returning Jair Cunha (shoulder) to start in his place.

Impact Murillo suffered the injury this past weekend against Burnley, and based on Pereira's words, it wouldn't be surprising if the Brazilian center-back also missed the first leg of the UEFA Europa League semifinals against Aston Villa on Thursday, April 30. With Murillo sidelined, Jair Cunha and Nonato could be in line for more minutes at center-back alongside Nikola Milenkovic.

Injured Sunday Murillo was forced off in the 42nd minute of Sunday's match against Burnley due to an apparent injury, according to Jak Netting of Vavel.

Impact Murillo looks to have returned to soon Sunday, as after being a late call due to an injury midweek, the defender had to be taken off in the first half against Burnley. The good news is he was able to walk off on his own, although he headed straight for the tunnel. This could be a major blow for the club as they inch closer to a relegation spot, potentially losing a starting defender. He was replaced by Jair Cunha, a possible replacement if Murillo misses further time, with Morato also with a chance at minutes.

Impact Murillo is not going to miss time after it appeared he suffered an injury in Thursday's Europa League match, with the defender already back in the starting XI Sunday. Subs off injured Thursday Murillo left the field with an apparent physical issue during Thursday's Europa League win over Porto, Sarah Clapson of The Nottingham Post reports.

Impact Murillo had found consistency following his recovery from his previous injury in February, starting 11 of 12 games across EPL and UEL action since then. The defender will hope to avoid a significant issue this time, but he's at risk of missing upcoming league contests. Two among Nikola Milenkovic, Morato and Jair Cunha will likely form a center-back partnership if the injured player heads to the sidelines.

That said, he bounced back in the second half with a much stronger showing, winning multiple duels while adding two interceptions and six clearances as Forest dug in under late pressure. He also tried to get involved going forward but saw his lone effort sail well wide.
