Alec Smir - Returns to bench Wednesday Smir was included on the bench for Wednesday's 3-1 victory against Sporting Kansas City after recovering sufficiently from a knee ligament injury to return to the matchday squad. Impact Smir returned to the matchday squad Wednesday after spending several weeks dealing with a knee ligament issue. The goalkeeper had been listed as questionable ahead of the encounter but was ultimately cleared to serve as a substitute, although he remained unused. His inclusion suggests he is available for selection moving forward, bringing an end to his recent absence. However, Smir remains behind Drake Callender in the goalkeeping hierarchy and is unlikely to see significant playing time unless the team's situation changes.
