However, with no timetable in place, it's still unknown when he is likely to be back in action.

Impact Ristic was a late scratch from Friday's match after feeling something in warmups. However, it is now known the issues he was dealing with were calf-related, as he is undergoing imagery to determine the extent of his issues. This will be something to monitor moving forward, as he is likely to see decent time in a rotational role when fit.

Late scratch Friday Ristic was a late scratch ahead of Friday's match against Alaves due to an apparent injury, according to Faro de Vigo.

Impact Ristic was announced in the starting lineup, but he wasn't seen in the warmups with the rest of the starters and Oscar Mingueza took his place instead. Ristic seems to have suffered another injury, and his status going forward will be unknown until further tests are taken.

Luckily for the club, he mainly serves off the bench, so this won't be a major loss. He will now hope to heal up before the end of the season, only having three games remaining after Sunday.

Impact Ristic is back with the team following his spell on the sidelines, returning after missing seven games due to thigh complications. Impact Ristic is the newest member of Celta to hit the injury report, now expected to miss around the next two months of action after tearing his bicep. This will leave the defender hoping to get back on the field this season amid any setbacks, as he will not return until around the end of April. This will have a decent effect on the club, as he has started in nine contests this season, specifically the team's past three matches, so expect Manu Sanchez to take over Ristic's time while he is out.

The defender has started in six of his seven Liga appearances this term and could very well contend for a spot in the XI in a depleted defensive line that's already missing the likes of Carl Starfelt (hamstring), Joseph Aidoo (Achilles) and Carlos Dominguez (undisclosed), though the latter is part of the squad for Saturday's contest.

Returns to team training Ristic (thigh) has begun team training with the team Thursday ahead of Sunday's Copa de Rey match against Amorebieta.

Impact Ristic is close to a return to the pitch after missing last match with a thigh injury. As long as everything goes well during training, then the defender will likely return for Sunday's Copa de Rey match. If not, then he will aim Jan 13 trip to Mallorca for a come back.
