Visa issued resolved Araujo was able to resolve his documentation issue and will return to Portland within the next few days, per reporter Cesar Vivar Miranda.
Impact Araujo has had a back and forth issue with the Timbers, resulting in his absence from the team. With this issue resolved, the defender will look to return to the pitch soon, though will have to complete several full training sessions before being an option again. He had made 18 starts in 23 MLS appearances in 2024 with Portland.

Could exit Timbers Araujo is reportedly working with his club on a mutually beneficial solution for his exit of the club, according to Adam Susman.
Impact Araujo has been in Peru finalizing his green card since the start of the season and was on international duty with Peru. He has yet to play his first minutes of the season with the Timbers, and those may never come as he could leave the club soon, with South American teams monitoring his situation to sign him as a free agent.

Heading out with NT Araujo has been called up by Peru for the matches against Bolivia and Venezuela on March 20 and March 25, respectively.
Impact Araujo has yet to receive a working visa, but the defender won't be able to return until the March 30 game against Houston -- and that's in a best-case scenario -- due to the paperwork issues. In the meantime, he's expected to receive some much-needed first-team minutes with Peru.

On international duty with Peru Araujo has been called up to the Peruvian National Team and is out for Saturday's match against St. Louis.
Impact Araujo will leave the club without a regular starter as he serves with Peru during a pair of friendlies. This will likely leave Zac McGraw and Dario Zuparic as the starting center-backs while Araujo is out. His next chance to return will be against San Jose on June 19.
