Strong defensively versus Parma Celik won four of five tackles and had three interceptions and one corner in Saturday's 2-0 victory against Parma.
Impact Celik got another start over Andrea Cambiaso (ankle), who quickly got hurt after subbing in at left back and mostly stayed in the back, patrolling his area well. Juventus are reportedly looking for a lefty at the position. He has registered two or more interceptions in the first two appearances, racking up five and adding two clearances and one key pass.
AUGUST 30 • ROTOWIRE
Solid debut with Juventus Celik had two clearances and two interceptions in Sunday's 1-0 win against Frosinone. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 50th minute.
Impact Celik made his first Juventus league appearance, playing the match at left back rather than his more natural right side. The defender was tidy without the ball, recording two interceptions and two clearances, and also showed some attacking upside by combining well enough going forward to create a big chance. He was booked during the game and was taken off in the 69th minute.
AUGUST 26 • ROTOWIRE
Signs with Juventus Celik has agreed to a three-year contract with Juventus after his Roma deal expired.
Impact Celik departs Roma after four seasons and was a fixture in the most recent two. His playing time could dip at Juventus, as he'll likely deputize Pierre Kalulu for the most part. He's replacing Emil Holm, who wasn't retained after a loan spell. He notched four assists, 111 crosses (19 acurate) and 81 tackles in 44 appearances while mostly playing on the flank last year. Roma can deploy Wesley and Devyne Rensch at the position and are searching for starting-caliber left wing-back.

It was his second start of the tournament but he was unable to keep a clean sheet in either appearance.
JUNE 26 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles against Australia Celik had one shot (one on goal) and one corner in Sunday's 2-0 defeat versus Australia.
Impact Celik struggled to deal with Nestory Irankunda's speed down Australia's left flank, and the youngster's 27th minute goal came directly from a sequence where the right-back was caught too far up the field following a corner kick. He put one shot on target in the 72nd minute, but that was the extent of his attacking impact. Celik entered the tournament on the heels of a strong campaign with Roma, though he never found a way to stamp his authority on the match going forward against an Australia side that defended with relentless discipline.
JUNE 14 • ROTOWIRE
Brings energy at right-back Celik has been named in Turkiye's World Cup squad and is expected to start at right-back throughout the competition under coach Vincenzo Montella.
Impact Celik made 34 Serie A appearances for Roma this season, contributing one goal and two assists in 2,731 minutes across the campaign, continuing to show the qualities that have made him one of the most reliable right-backs in Italian football since his arrival at the club. Celik brings defensive solidity and a willingness to contribute going forward that gives Turkiye an additional attacking outlet from right-back, and his experience in one of Europe's most demanding leagues makes him a trusted option for coach Montella. Celik heads into the World Cup in good form and ready to play a key role in Turkiye's defensive structure throughout the tournament.
